Major re-write of site on cards currently. Trying to alter style/appearance currently, but may abandon in favour of a complete overhaul if this doesn't pan out to well! Wish me luck!

More seriously though, my next project after (minimally) sprucing up this bit of my site is to build an online interactive character sheet/builder for 4th edition using XML, JavaScript & PHP as required. This is because I have become way too fed up with acrobat's appalling support for JavaScript in the PDF object & like the idea of having the data read in on demand by the "sheet".
Well, Wizards scuppered that idea! Not so sure it was clever to invest in a SilverLight application just after they announce that they are a) no longer actively developing or b) even properly supporting SilverLight any more, as M$ have decided to... support the HTML5 standard instead! Who saw that coming! I also think replacing an admitedly dog-eared, but stable .Net app with what is by all other standards a pre-alpha SilverLight/ASP app is beyond retarded. </rant>
In the meantime, I've decided to try & develop a gallery of sorts. I have found what I think is quite a neat little JS/CSS utility for making an overlay for the photos (see demo below). I'm sure there are better ways, but I like it well enough for now :)
